Get out and about this fall and experience nature during Outdoor Day in and around Speelbos De Elzen. On Saturday, November 7, from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., discover what nature has to offer in the fall, meet various nature organizations, and participate for free in all kinds of fun and educational activities. Will you be joining us?

The days are short, it’s wet and cold, but right now there’s so much to discover in nature. At the Outdoor Day in De Elzen, Staatsbosbeheer and Weizigt invite everyone to step outside during the dark months and discover what nature has to offer this season. That day, in the Speelbos, you’ll find all kinds of cozy booths and tents where you can learn all about the local nature, take part in free activities, and buy fun products. Of course, you can warm up in between with a hot drink by one of the bonfires.

Program
Here’s what’s on the schedule for Outdoor Day:

• Stalls offering information, products, and fun activities (such as nature bingo and dissecting pellets) organized by Vogelwacht, Arocha, Biesboschcentrum, IVN, KNNV, Weizigt, and Staatsbosbeheer
• Free activities such as:
  • Creative fall workshops
  • Exploring soil creatures, fungi, and mushrooms
  • Forest outing for the kids
